  • Ok, lets be honest here. The us has never been good at making the most agile planes. Its just fact. Same goes with the F22. In a close dogfight, a Su57 would dance around it, but the point of the F22 is to kill without being seen. It may be able to dogfight older jets semi-well, but the combat tactics of most modern American jets is to kill at well over 10 kilometers.

  • I did some work for a company that was hired to make the upper wing skin section for the F-15. The Plate that was used was like 1.25" high and weighed around 1,000 lbs. It could not weigh more that 75 lbs. after machining out little I beams.

  • This was quite a waste of fuel and money just to experience 4,5g. In almost every glider you can experience 5,3g, in some 7g. A flight would cost between 5€ and 100€. This is also way more impressive, since you might have a wing span of 15-30m and an aspect ratio of over 40.

  • The main problem with high g manoeuvres is that they are terribly addictive. And I am not saying that only in the "fun" term. Your body gets used to high accelerations. When you pull high g in GA aerobatics planes or gliders, you might exceed what the airplane is able to take, simply because feeling alone start to deceive you, and things get ugly. So when you perform these manoeuvres you have to be very careful with your speed and acceleration.

  • Like my brain was trying to go into the avatar state and ask my ancestors for advice on how to deal with this shit, but not a single one of them even knew what an F-16 was. The closest any of them got to this level of G's was when my grand papi stood up too fast in 1932 while digging potatoes and got a little light headed. Done. Im dead. Need a g suit to dig up veggies.

  • I could literally feel the first G. I fell into my chair. Everything went black and i was almost knocked out somehow. I think its because i felt high G's before. Like when some pilots turn too hard i just get knocked out. Im not sure if i reached 2 G's yet but all i know is that i almost got knocked out🤣🤣🤣 Edit: i reached 24 G's in a spitfire in war thunder before but as i was going to slow down my pilot was unconscious and the plane ripped itself apart

Bats, Swifts, and Pterosaurs are structurally capable of taking 20 G in a turn and have to go after extremely maneuverable prey. The G force of a Falcon impacting large aerial prey must be enormous. Slowing impulsively from over 100 m/s to less than 50 and then slowing quickly to even lower speeds as the drag from stalled feathers of their prey slows then further. The quick maneuvers and insane dynamic pressure (comparable to a rifle bullet) on a billfish must imply crazy high G loading. That amount of dynamic pressure is more than on supersonic jets or reentering spacecraft.
